Emotions and You
62Is the Goal of Life to be Happy?
I think that most people think the goal of life is to be happy. At least we are told that all the time. But I just don't think so.
Have you been to a funeral of a loved one? That's not a time to be happy. It's a time to be sad. It is a big part of life.
Did you ever take a test and flunk it? That's not happy either.
Have you ever waited worrying for the test results from a medical examination to find out if you have something scary like cancer? You are not usually happy then; you are worried!
Have you ever been in an airplanie with a lot of turbulence? That makes a lot of us afraid.
Have you ever been zooming down the highway and had a near miss collision? That makes most of us scared; not happy.
Has your mate ever left you? THAT makes people feel all sorts of emotions (I guess sometimes happy!) - but there is a lot more to go with that.
I figure the goal of life is just to get through it the best you can. he goal of life is NOT to be happy. The goal of life is to be REAL. No masks please.
In the words of King Solomon:
"Everything has its season. There is a time
for everything under the sun."
"A time to be born and a time to die."
"A time to weep and a time to laugh."
"A time to cry and a time to dance."
"A time to rend and a time to mend."
"A time to be quiet and a time to speak."
"A time to love and a time to hate."
"A time for war and a time for peace."
What time is it for you? If you're reading this, maybe it is time to begin to renew your
life. It can be a difficult process, but it's well worth the effort.
Someone else famous also said; "Nothing worth doing is ever easy." Amen to that!
We all walk through this life together...so the next time you see someone acting rude, or sad or whatever it is you deem not appropriate; try to remember - you have not walked a mile in their shoes....and be kind!

i believe that being happy is an essential part of your life. Sad, depressed, miserable as well as provoked individuals are the cause for alot of the ill fate that takes place on a day to day basis. indeed there are things that make you sad but sometimes it is for you to read between the lines and learn a lesson from what has taken place. when you morn the loss of a loved one, it is not forever. Once you have memories as well as loved and was loved, you learn to move on. Fear, excitement, sadness, happiness----this list can go on is part of what is considered emotions, which i believe is part of being human.
