These start up concepts are crucial in the process of success. One must also be willing to work long long hard hours, weekends, holidays--work, work, work is BASIC during this period of time. If you are not willing (or the person you hire is not willing) to do this and do it *happily* - just stop now.

There are many factors to consider. No one can predict the future economic conditions here in the West (or anywhere for that matter) with any degree of certainty in these times we live. The business model that is able to respond seemlessly to economic & environmental changes are the ones most likely to sustain themselves in adverse conditions and largely profit from favorable ones.

Whatever it is you chose to do, research, capital, expertise, and management are key in determining whether a business wil be successful or not. I also know from experience that in order for your business to be successful, it has to be something you can remain PASSIONATE about for a very long time. If you lose interest, you lose your drive. You are running the ship - you lose steam and so does your crew.
